Return Staff Information

WELCOME BACK TO SNOW SCHOOL!

Getting started for the 2025-2026 season

Welcome back to all staff that have worked for us in the past! We are very excited for the year ahead. Please watch your inbox for important emails. 

1) Two Emails from peopleconnect@vailresorts.com. As part of our new and improved HR system, there is a new onboarding process for return staff. You will be asked to complete some 'onboarding activities'. You will need to complete these activities before you are hired in November. They include a free criminal record check (that is valid for 3 years). Details of these emails can be seen here

Note: there is one activity in that list that you do NOT have to complete - the Legion Schedule Availability task. You have already given us your availability in our intent to return survey. 

2) Please also watch for an email from wbsspay to confirm your wage. Any new experience or certification documents should be sent to wbsspay@vailresorts.com. NOTE that we do not pay retroactively, so it is your responsibility to ensure your wage is correct. 

If you are eligible for Benefits, please watch for your window to re enroll.

Upon being hired, you will be automatically assigned a curriculum of online training. This will take 40-80 minutes depending on what you completed last year.

Required Pre-season Training 24-25 LIFT online training 

My Schedule - you do NOT have to complete unless you hold another job with us in another department (eg. retail, f&b) 

Wage & Hour - you do NOT need to complete this training. 

After you have completed your online training, there will be 3 main pieces that all Return Staff will need to complete as part of this year's mandatory (paid) training. Check out the Training Page to find out more.

TRAINING

You must complete the Snow Pro Need to Know before starting any activities on snow (work or training). It includes a Training waiver that absolutely must be signed before participating in any training elective training events (AM session, Full Day or Fitness session etc).

Full time staff - If you indicated on your return to work form that you were available to work opening weekend, your Managers will be reactivating your profile before November 1st. 

Part time staff - you will be activated around November 1st. Be sure to submit your part time calendar using the email that was sent to you from our scheduling team.

STARTING WORK

PASSES & UNIFORM

After you have be returned to “Active Status”, you will be able to visit Guest Services and The Springs to collect uniforms and have a replacement pass printed if needed.

Your trusty schedulers are hard at work populating schedules in Pro-Connect also known as RPOS. They should be ready for your viewing as you become active. For more information on scheduling, consult the Scheduling tab.
