All new hires are in the process of receiving offers. You will receive an email from Olivia at Vail Resorts with your offer of employment. All offer letters through our certified instructor posting will include Level 1 instructor and $20/hr rate of pay. We will adjust job title and rate of pay accordingly when certifications and experience is submitted to WBSSPay at the beginning of season. Please review our compensation plan under 'Pay' menu for more information.

Once you sign you contract and complete the additional form sent from Olivia, your onboarding will be initiated. Onboarding forms will be sent from peopleconnect@vailresorts.com with a link to sign onto epic employee and complete tasks. Please complete the tasks in Epic Employee when assigned to you. You will be assigned tasks to complete initially upon your job offer and then you will be assigned additional tasks to complete upon hiring approximately mid-November.

When you have completed your onboarding and arrive in Whistler in November, you will be able to check-in in person. New instructors must wait until they have completed all tasks and wait until after November 12th for an email from WBSSPay with customer IP number.

Your supervisor will reach out when they have started at the end of the first week in November.

If you have any questions over the summer, please reach out to Lucie, our recruiting admin lbishop@vailresorts.com

New Staff Training

First year employees will have a series of paid and mandatory trainings to take part in before starting work.

We will be sending out training dates to all snow school new hires on November 1st. The first day of training selected will be your first day of work. Our first new staff snow school orientation will be on November 26th but we will also have later orientations in December for those who have not yet arrived in Whistler. On-Snow training dates will be scheduled from end of November through the first couple of weeks of December.

Checking Your Schedule

We use a system called RPOS (or ProConnect) for managing instructor scheduling. The website for this is: instructor.snow.com, make sure to bookmark this page on your phone, you will use this daily.

Our team of schedulers are hard at work populating schedules in ProConnect (RPOS). They should be ready for your viewing as you become active. For more information on checking your schedule, work expectations & guidelines, and how to contact our schedulers, consult the
Scheduling Tab on this website.

If you are a Part Time staff member, you will be sent an email from FLAIK to select holiday dates to work for us.
